*DRAFT*Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 17, 2019 <br /> APPOINTMENTS &HEARINGS <br /> Department of Public warps Director Catherine Laurent: <br /> Discussion and Approval of Award of Annual Contract for o eration of the Transfer Station <br /> Haulin of Recyclables: (continued) <br /> Issues of concern include the shifting of staff members from.the Transfer Station to the yard waste facility and <br /> the need to continue to educate the recycling users under the new recycling system. with the added funding,the <br /> Town would have the ability to purchase a plate reader to monitor those utilizing the facility. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to award the annual contract for the Operation of the Transfer <br /> Station and Hauling of Recyclables to Gotta Do Contracting, LLC for FY 2020 to include the provision in <br /> the contract for the shared use of the yard waste facility, and monthly payment; stipulating there is no <br /> tolerance to switch staff members. And further,to prepare an article for the October Town Meeting, <br /> warrant authorizing the purchase of a plate card reader. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes opposed, none <br /> Discussion and Approval of Award of Contract for Sam son's Mill Road Culvert Replacement Contract: <br /> Catherine Laurent, Director indicated 5 bids were received for the Sampson's Mill Road Culvert Replacement <br /> project. A tabulation of the bid opening, evaluation including reference evaluation for performance was <br /> provided in a memorandum dated June 13, 2019 addressed to the Board from.Tighe &Bond, Environmental <br /> Engineers. <br /> This is a joint project with the Town of Barnstable with grant funding received. It is the recommendation of the <br /> Director of Public works to award a contract to E.T. &L. Corp in the amount of$1-,034,779 contingent upon the <br /> receipt of performance payment bonds and the required certificate of insurance. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to award a contract for the replacement of the Sampson's Mill Road <br /> culvert project to E.T. & L.
