BRIEF DESCRIPTION <br /> The Applicant seeks a Special Permit for operation of an Electrical Shop at 153 Commercial St.,Mashpee,MA.The proposed <br /> operation will also have a wholesale and storage component both uses requiring a Special permit for the Industrial One(II)Zoning <br /> District in the Town of Mashpee. Specifically,the Applicant seeks relief under§§ 17-25 (G)4 and(G)6.The Applicant does not <br /> propose any alterations to the exterior of the building or any alterations to the site plan as part of this special permit.The special <br /> permit is for use only,and a special permit is required by the above referenced sections of the Mashpee Bylaw.The applicant is in <br /> electrical shop with a focus on generator installation and maintenance.The applicant recently received a special permit from the Town <br /> of Mashpee for the identical proposed use on a similar lot,also located within the Industrial One Zoning District. <br /> Presently located at the property is an excavation company,duly licensed and in lawful operation.At any given time the business may <br /> have large Cat Excavators, 10 wheel dump trucks,septic pumping trucks,snowplows and other heavy equipment.The applicant <br /> utilizes only vans and two axle box trucks.It is submitted that the proposed change in use from an excavation business to that of an <br /> electrical/generator business is far less detrimental to the neighborhood with respect to negative impacts associated with the present <br /> use.The proposed use is in conformity with the special permit requirements as set forth by the town of Mashpee in that it is in keeping <br /> with the bylaw is not more detrimental than the present use.The proposed change in use will not adversely affect public health or <br /> safety,will not cause excessive demand on community facilities,will not significantly decrease surface or groundwater quality or air <br /> quality,will not have a significant adverse impact on wildlife habitat,estuary systems,traffic flow traffic levels of noise,vibrations <br /> electrical disturbance radioactivity or glare,will not destroy or disrupt any species listed as rare endangered or threatened by the <br /> Massachusetts Natural Heritage Program or any known historic or archaeological site,it will not produce amounts of trash refuse for <br /> debris in excess of the Town's waste disposal capacities.There will be no tree removal or construction debris or hazardous waste <br /> associated with the change of use.The intended use will not increase runoff of water and will not otherwise be detrimental to the town <br /> or area. <br /> APAPPROVED <br /> Signature Date <br /> SIGN REVIEW <br /> {N REVIEW <br /> �NN`NG OA I� <br /> `4I(NG BRI).OF APPEALS � `� <br /> sNSERVATIO <br /> r3 - <br />
