Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 8, 2019 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Summer Concert Series Beer Vendor Update and Information - Mashpee Commons, Mares_ <br /> Mashpee Commons Marketing Director Mary Derr updated the Board of the Mashpee Summer <br /> Concert Series planned to be held in Mashpee Commons in July through August of 2019. A vendor, <br /> The Pour Guys who hold a catering license for the transport and service of alcohol at public and <br /> private events will provide offerings of beer and wine only on specified Saturdays through July and <br /> August from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For the events, a police detail would be hired. <br /> For disclosure, the Catering License issued to the applicant, The Pour Guys is not required to apply <br /> for a One-Day Liquor License through the Local Licensing Authority. <br /> Discussion and Approval of Appointment of Designee to the Counter e Program: <br /> Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to appoint Ken Bates as the Town of Mashpee Designee to <br /> the County Dredge Program. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br /> Discussion and Approval of Memorandum of Understanding between the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe <br /> and the Town of Mashpee Relative to Community Preservation Funding of the Mashpee Parsonage <br /> Restoration Project: <br /> The Board of Selectmen reviewed the draft Memorandum of Understanding between the Mashpee <br /> Wampanoag Tribe and the Town of Mashpee relative to Community Preservation Act Funding for the <br /> Mashpee Parsonage Restoration Project. The document was prepared by Town Counsel, Patrick J. <br /> Costello. <br /> The Memorandum of Understanding is a requirement prior to the disbursement of funding to establish <br /> milestones and a schedule for the release of$400,000 in CPA funds. <br /> At the last Community Preservation Committee meeting, David Weeden, Deputy Tribal Historic <br /> Preservation Officer informed the CPC the Tribe has received grant funding in the amount of$30,000 <br /> to fund the Historic Structures Report. The grant funding is contingent upon matching funds. It was <br /> agreed Town Counsel would be advised on the CPC's decision to move forward the MOU and <br /> consider a split MOU for the sole purpose of moving the $30,000 in match funding forward. The <br /> remainder of the CPA allocation would be held and further agreed upon when the Tribe demonstrates <br /> the ability to fund the $693,795 project. <br /> It was agreed the specific comments would be addressed with Town Counsel regarding the MOU, and <br /> be further assessed by the Board of Selectmen at their next meeting. <br /> 14 <br />
