Activity Coordinator Report <br /> The Director distributed the Activity Coordinator Report for the month of April. The <br /> Activity Coordinator highlighted the Red Sox Party and an indoor picnic in recognition of <br /> Annual Picnic Day. They also hosted a Destinations and Desserts event and a <br /> motivational speaker and a meditation class. Along with the Mashpee Police <br /> Department, they held a modified version of a Citizen's Police Academy, and the VNA <br /> conducted a health fair. <br /> The report noted her goals is to schedule a number of activities and programs in the <br /> upcoming months to include a "kick off' program for National Older Americans Month, a <br /> Perkins Library presentation, a malnutrition education session, etc. <br /> Motion: Marijo Gorney moved to accept the Activity Coordinator Report, <br /> seconded by Norah McCormick. Vote 4-0 <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Nominating Committee Recommendations <br /> Marijo Gorney reported the nominating committee recommended the following to be the <br /> slate of officers for the Council on Aging for July 2019 thru June 2020: <br /> David Egel, Chairman <br /> Marijo Gorney, Vice-Chairman <br /> Virginia McIntyre, Treasurer <br /> Jean Noussee, Secretary <br /> Motion: Marijo Gorney moved to appoint the slate of officers as listed above. <br /> Seconded by Norah McCormick. Vote unanimous 4-0 <br /> Update — Massachusetts Association of Council on Aging (MCOA) <br /> The Director stated MCOA conduct meetings with COA staff members across the State. <br /> She will be having the Activity Coordinator and the Volunteer and Program Support <br /> Coordinator attend these meetings. <br /> She said that MCOA is working to maintain the formula grant dollar amount per elder <br /> and also the Service Incentive Grant money that funds mental health teams. <br />
