i- <br /> I 5 <br /> I <br /> MINUTES Jan u a ry 23, 1992 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> I <br /> r• Greelish motioned to grant 60 days by which tilde the <br /> new well must be connected to the dwelling's plumbing system <br /> and the old well disconnected at 156 Captaints Row, Mr. Costa <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br /> APPOINTM '# Dave Rich - u merwood/vi l l age at 130 <br /> I <br /> "Sumerwood" e. <br /> Mr. David Rich, Mr, William Covell, Mr. Al Elloin and <br /> Mr. Richard Elloin were in attendance for this scheduledap- <br /> pointment. <br /> Mr. McQuaid briefed Mr. Rich on this Board's recent dis- <br /> cussion with Mr,. e e o regarding meter charges for the ir- <br /> rigation wells at the complex and whether the Town or Water <br /> District would provide some sort of financial aid. <br /> Mr. Rich stated some time ago Mr-. DeDecko did approach <br /> the Water District to request their assistance in providing <br /> alternatives to the existing water meter system at the com- <br /> plex,. "The Water District did provide some alternatives how- <br /> ever, Mr, DeDecko was not responsive to them, " <br /> "Villa a.__.a 1 11 <br /> Mr. Greelish informed Mr. Rich this hoard is recommend- <br /> ing the installation of water attains and would consider any <br /> proposals the Commission may have to offer.. <br /> Mr. Doherty relayed, the Board supports the project how- <br /> ever, <br /> o - <br /> eve , does require, where feasible, installation of water <br /> mains. "It was disc ed 'that perhaps the Town or the mater <br /> .strict could- defray oasts by providing the pipe, the devel- <br /> oper would provide the lab r. " <br /> I <br /> Mr, Rich stated, should the Nater District aid in de- <br /> fraying costs the town should also make its contribution. <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented, if the pipes are laid now there <br /> will be no betterment charges once water becomes available. <br /> Mr, Rich agreed. <br /> Mr. Greelish recommended meeting with the Nater <br /> Commissioner's and a member of the Board of Selectmen to fur- <br /> ther discuss the ratter.
