Letter from D.E.P. re: Faoilit site assessment - Ac. <br /> MID know l e dged <br /> APPOINTMENT: Da id Shastany - Sticker revocation <br /> Mr. Shastany was in attendance for this scheduled ap- <br /> pointment. <br /> p-intme i # <br /> • Mro McQuaid informed ed Bo rd members the landfill. contrac- <br /> tor was contacted at his office by an employee at the land- <br /> fill and in ormed that Mr. Shastany. entered the landfill with <br /> a residential sticker affix d - uspici usly to a commercial <br /> vehicle. " t "that time Mr,, Shastany was informed by the gate <br /> attendant that he is to speak with the landfill contractor or <br /> meet with Board ' ea lth to remedy_ ...the situation. "t. "Discus- <br /> sion <br /> Di cus- <br /> sion ensued between the land ,il-1 workers- aind 4LMr. Shastany <br /> with Mr.. Shastany leaving the landfill and subsequently uently re- <br /> turning with the same sticker however, this time it was af- <br /> fixed to another vehicle whose registration plate coincided <br /> with the sticker, " "Mr, DiMaggio arrived at the landfill and <br /> questioned Mr. Shastany as to where he obtained the ticker , " <br /> "Mr, Shastany responded he received the sticker from the Town <br /> Clerk's office, " "Mr. McQuaid stated it's obvious the <br /> sticker- was being transferred from one commercial vehicle to <br /> another. " "Ultimately,, Mr, DiMaggio removed the sticker from <br /> the vehicle and informed Mr, Shastany he must apply to the <br /> Board of Health for another residential. sticker. <br /> Mr, Shastany stated he has one sticker and two commer- <br /> cial vehicles. 'The windshield on one vehicle required re- <br /> placement so I removed the sticker and placed it on my other <br /> vehicle. " - "l then purchased another sticker and placed it on <br /> Y the vehicle which. had the broken windshield. " <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated it is the Boards policy that any ve- <br /> hicle with commercial dates or a' logo on its side should not <br /> be issueda residential sticker unless the vehicle is the <br /> only means of transportation and that person is a resident in <br /> town. til it is the only means o transportation the owner <br /> i emitted to dispose of refuse from their residence only,. " <br /> Mr. Costa questioned Mr. Shastany as to his occupation.. <br /> Mr. Shast stated building and restoration. <br /> Mr. Costa informed Mr. Shastany only one commercial ve- <br /> hicle may have residential sticker and it must be regis- <br /> tered in the towh of Mashee. <br />
