MINUTES November 19, 1992 2 BOARD D of HEALTH <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to waive the re-perc requirement <br /> .with the stipulation an Agent of this Board witness the soils <br /> at the time of excavation, Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed. <br /> . Emergency fai lure certification, piton Way - Mr. <br /> Evans relayed he inspected the site and found both cesspools <br /> in failure.. <br /> Mr. McQuaid informed Board members the installer is pro- <br /> posing to replace the d-box with a bull. run valve, "One <br /> _ cesspool will be pumped and disconnected the other will be <br /> pumped- " "The bull-run valve will have a lower outlet to a <br /> new pit in the driv way. " "The disconnected cesspool will .be <br /> utilized as a reserve in the future if necessary. " "The Con- <br /> servation Agent did verify the distance from the wetlands. " <br /> . Mr. Ball motioned to approve the emergency repair as <br /> proposed, Mr, Doherty seconded, all agreed.. <br /> . Alternative septic ern seminar,, 1 r� <br /> - , Ball <br /> and Mr. Evans will attend the seminar. <br /> . Co ,of bimonthly landfill transfer station inspection - <br /> Mr-. McQuaid recommended f r�w rdin a copy of tie inspection <br /> report to the Executive. Secretar . <br /> Board members agreed, <br /> 10 <br /> APPOINTMENT - Brian eppe ld .- 91, Greensward D1.i re <br /> 'E # <br /> Mr. Zeppenfeld was in attendance for this scheduled p=- <br /> - 'r <br /> po i ntment. �� I <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "he is concerned there is no access <br /> for ey a r+ ency vehicles- " T <br /> R <br /> T_ <br /> Mr. Zeppenfeld commented, "there is a drive proposed for <br /> the lot. " <br /> Mr, McQuaid explained, eta 5 bedroom dwelling is proposed <br /> with a 1540 gallon septic tank and a leaching facility of 860 <br /> gallons per day. " "1 would recommend increasing the tank <br /> size to 2000 .p.d. and to install a permanent double <br /> system. " <br /> Questions were raised as to the necessity for- a perma- <br /> nent double system. <br /> Board members agreed a 2000 gallon septic tank should be <br /> installed however, the reserve is not necessitated. <br />
