BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES MEETING <br /> TUESDAY,June 12, 2018 <br /> MASHPEE LIBRARY CONFERENCE ROOM <br /> Present: Mary LeClair, Joan Lyons, Sandra Horsman,Amanda Hall, Matt Auger,Virginia <br /> Scharfenberg and Ann Macdonald <br /> Also Present: Kathy Mahoney—Library Director <br /> Mary LeClair, Chair, called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br /> Tour of Event Room and Library Garden <br /> At 4:05 p.m. the Board visited the Event Room to view larger samples of carpet tiles that were ordered <br /> from the available collections. After viewing the larger tiles, the consensus was that they were not of <br /> the same quality as the carpeting currently in the room, and depending upon price, options for a higher <br /> grade carpet should be explored. Paint chips and marks on the walls were also noted, which the DPW <br /> agreed to repaint. <br /> The garden area was visited and it was noted that the condition was much improved from the last tour <br /> during a prior board meeting. A question was raised about the need to replace the male holly bush to <br /> ensure future pollination, and it was agreed that would be addressed. The Trustees returned to session <br /> in the Conference Room at 4:25 p.m. <br /> Public Discussion: None <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> MOTION: Sandra Horsman motioned to accept the Regular Meeting minutes of May 8,2018 as presented. <br /> The Motion was seconded by Joan Lyons. <br /> VOTE: Yes-7. <br /> Roll Call.Vote: Sandra Horsman,yes Amanda Hall,yes <br /> Virginia Scharfenberg,yes Mary LeClair,yes <br /> Ann Macdonald,yes Matt Auger,yes <br /> Joan Lyons,yes <br /> Friends of the Mashpee LibrarX <br /> Sandra Horsman reported that the Friends are currently working on multiple events including the <br /> garden tour of Willowbend, selling raffle tickets, and upcoming author events. Everyone was <br /> encouraged to support the Friends by buying tickets or volunteering time. <br /> Report <br /> There was brief discussion of the Library Director's report. <br /> Board Goal Setting and Evaluation <br />
