BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES MEETING TUESDAY,June 12, 2018 MASHPEE LIBRARY CONFERENCE ROOM Present: Mary LeClair, Joan Lyons, Sandra Horsman,Amanda Hall, Matt Auger,Virginia Scharfenberg and Ann Macdonald Also Present: Kathy Mahoney—Library Director Mary LeClair, Chair, called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. Tour of Event Room and Library Garden At 4:05 p.m. the Board visited the Event Room to view larger samples of carpet tiles that were ordered from the available collections. After viewing the larger tiles, the consensus was that they were not of the same quality as the carpeting currently in the room, and depending upon price, options for a higher grade carpet should be explored. Paint chips and marks on the walls were also noted, which the DPW agreed to repaint. The garden area was visited and it was noted that the condition was much improved from the last tour during a prior board meeting. A question was raised about the need to replace the male holly bush to ensure future pollination, and it was agreed that would be addressed. The Trustees returned to session in the Conference Room at 4:25 p.m. Public Discussion: None Approval of Minutes MOTION: Sandra Horsman motioned to accept the Regular Meeting minutes of May 8,2018 as presented. The Motion was seconded by Joan Lyons. VOTE: Yes-7. Roll Call.Vote: Sandra Horsman,yes Amanda Hall,yes Virginia Scharfenberg,yes Mary LeClair,yes Ann Macdonald,yes Matt Auger,yes Joan Lyons,yes Friends of the Mashpee LibrarX Sandra Horsman reported that the Friends are currently working on multiple events including the garden tour of Willowbend, selling raffle tickets, and upcoming author events.
