PARSONAGE RESTORATION (FEASIBILITY) MEMORANDUM THIS IS A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (THE 6 99) BETWEEN THE MASHPEE OLD INDIAN MEETING HOUSE AUTHORITY, INC. (THE 66MOIMHA99) AND THE TOWN OF MASHPEE, MASSACHUSETTS (THE 6666PARTIES99) REGARDING MATCHING FUNDS FROM THE TOWN OF IPRESERVATION COMMITTEE FOR THE FEASIBILITY PHASE OF THE MASHPEE PARSONAGE RESTORATION PROJECT PURPOSE This Memorandum of Understanding (the "MOU") between the Mashpee old Indian Meetinghouse Authority, Ine..("MO1MHA" and the Town of Mashpee, Massachusetts 'Ton"), hereinafter collectively the "Parties", relative to Community Preservation Act "CPA") funding of the Mashp e Parsonage Restoration Project (the "Project"), is entered into by and between MOIMHA and Town. The date this agreement is entered into is the day of September, 2019. This MMU shall go into effect immediately and shall terminate on July 1, 2020, unless sooner terminated by written agreement of the Parties. Upon termination of th%s Moi all. performance duties and obligations ofthe Parties her n r shall become null and void. The Parties agree as follows: III. RECITALS On or about November 30, 2018, the old. Indian Meeting House Authority and the 1:ashpee Warnpanoag Tribe's Historic preservation office submitted. an Application to the Town of Ma.shpee Community Preservation Committee "CPC" seeping CPA Funding in the amount of $400,000.00 as a partial source of funding for the Mashpee Parsonage.e restoration Project, located at 431 Main St. Mashpee, MA. The anticipated. total projected cost to complete the proposed Project as of the application date was $693)795.00. Upon review of the Project funding application and deliberation regarding the same, the CPC, on January 24, 2019, voted "to approve and recommend to the May 2019 Special. Town Meeting oo,000 for the Ma,shpee Parsonage Restoration project contingent upon. prior execution of a Memorandum of Understanding between the fund recipient and the Board of Selectmen establishing milestones for full Project funding, and schedule of completion for release of the remaining subject appropriated. CPA funds in relation thereto, and, further subject to the recording,, of a Preservation Restriction to assure that the subject historic property's intrinsic values will be preserved through any subsequent ownership by restricting the demolition or alteration of its significant historic features all as recommended by the Community Preservation Committee"',
