PARSONAGE RESTORATION (FEASIBILITY) <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> THIS IS A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (THE <br /> 6 99) BETWEEN <br /> THE MASHPEE OLD INDIAN MEETING HOUSE AUTHORITY, INC. (THE <br /> 66MOIMHA99) AND THE TOWN OF MASHPEE, MASSACHUSETTS (THE <br /> 6666PARTIES99) REGARDING MATCHING <br /> FUNDS FROM THE TOWN OF IPRESERVATION <br /> COMMITTEE FOR THE FEASIBILITY PHASE OF THE MASHPEE <br /> PARSONAGE RESTORATION PROJECT <br /> PURPOSE <br /> This Memorandum of Understanding (the "MOU") between the Mashpee old Indian <br /> Meetinghouse Authority, Ine..("MO1MHA" and the Town of Mashpee, Massachusetts <br /> 'Ton"), hereinafter collectively the "Parties", relative to Community Preservation Act <br /> "CPA") funding of the Mashp e Parsonage Restoration Project (the "Project"), is entered <br /> into by and between MOIMHA and Town. <br /> The date this agreement is entered into is the day of September, 2019. This <br /> MMU shall go into effect immediately and shall terminate on July 1, 2020, unless sooner <br /> terminated by written agreement of the Parties. Upon termination of th%s Moi all. <br /> performance duties and obligations ofthe Parties her n r shall become null and void. <br /> The Parties agree as follows: <br /> III. RECITALS <br /> On or about November 30, 2018, the old. Indian Meeting House Authority and the <br /> 1:ashpee Warnpanoag Tribe's Historic preservation office submitted. an Application to <br /> the Town of Ma.shpee Community Preservation Committee "CPC" seeping CPA <br /> Funding in the amount of $400,000.00 as a partial source of funding for the Mashpee <br /> Parsonage.e restoration Project, located at 431 Main St. Mashpee, MA. The anticipated. <br /> total projected cost to complete the proposed Project as of the application date was <br /> $693)795.00. <br /> Upon review of the Project funding application and deliberation regarding the same, the <br /> CPC, on January 24, 2019, voted "to approve and recommend to the May 2019 Special. <br /> Town Meeting oo,000 for the Ma,shpee Parsonage Restoration project contingent <br /> upon. prior execution of a Memorandum of Understanding between the fund recipient <br /> and the Board of Selectmen establishing milestones for full Project funding, and <br /> schedule of completion for release of the remaining subject appropriated. CPA funds in <br /> relation thereto, and, further subject to the recording,, of a Preservation Restriction to <br /> assure that the subject historic property's intrinsic values will be preserved through any <br /> subsequent ownership by restricting the demolition or alteration of its significant <br /> historic features all as recommended by the Community Preservation Committee"', <br />
