Mr. Johnson
seconded the motion. All voted unanimously.
The Committee then considered the May 14 meeting minutes.
MOTION: Chairman Isbitz made a motion to approve the minutes. Mr. Johnson
seconded the motion. All voted unanimously.
The Chair provided corrections to the agenda, noting that some items were a carry-over from the
last agenda. There would be no report from the 950 Falmouth Road Working Group, but there
would be a report about last month's meeting. Mr. Pena would not be presenting a revised plan
at tonight's meeting.
MOTION: Mr. Abbott made a motion to adopt changes to the agenda as suggested. Mr.
Johnson seconded the motion. All voted unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
950 Falmouth Road Progress Report-The Chair indicated that the matter was under the
purview of the Affordable Housing Trust(the"Trust"), and gave the following report of the
Trust meeting on July 8. He said that although the Working Group had recommended that the
Trust designate POAH/HAC as the developer, neither the Trust nor the Working group liked the
appearance of the building design. Julie Creamer, POAH Senior Vice President of Acquisitions,
attended the Trust meeting, along with architect Steve Tighe, to explain the concept that
provided the rationale for the design.
After the POAH finished their presentation Chairman Gottlieb expressed appreciation for the
presentation but stated the Trustees had a concern about the massive appearance of the buildings,
and hoped that the developer could provide a more acceptable design. Although the architect
indicated that he had considered the vernacular of the Cape to create the design, there was
consensus that the design did not represent the best of Cape Cod.
