Marie Stevenson, Winnie Johnson-Graham, Katherine Brown, Gail Wilson, <br /> Lynne Waterman, JoAnn Nadeau, Louis Horner,Elana Doyle, Cheyenne Hendricks (Non-Voting <br /> Member <br /> Also Present: Human Resource Director Kim Landry <br /> Absent: Patty DeBoer, William Baker(Non-Voting Member), Selectman Liaison John Cotton <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The meeting was called to order by the Chair, with a quorum present. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES June 11,2019 <br /> Changes were made to the wording on page 3, regarding the Barnstable County Human Rights <br /> Commission. Ms. Johnson-Graham clarified that it was the posts that were destroyed and that the <br /> DPW was storing the sign made by the students. Ms. Hendricks clarified that her last name was <br /> Hendricks and not Hendrickson, to be changed throughout. <br /> MOTION: Ms. Waterman made a motion to approve the minutes as corrected. Ms. Brown <br /> seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> None at this time <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Ms. Doyle read a letter of resignation, a decision made due to childcare challenges. Mr. Horner <br /> also tendered his resignation, due to family commitments taking him out of the country. Both <br /> expressed interest in continued involvement with the efforts of the Committee. Both members were <br /> thanked for their services to the Committee and look forward to their assistance in other ways. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Veterans Parking-Mr. Horner stated that he had followed up with Major Quilty about other <br /> Districts interested in providing Veterans Parking. Mr. Horner referenced the challenges faced by <br /> Falmouth to enforce the Veterans Parking and the need for permanent signage. Mr. Horner shared the <br /> Brave Act, which allowed towns to designate parking spaces for Veterans with Veterans' plates. Mr. <br /> Horner would be meeting with the Town Manager, along with Major Quilty and Chairwoman <br /> Stevenson, next week. Mr. Horner met with Selectman Cotton, who was unable to attend the meeting <br /> with the Town Manager, but was supportive of the effort. <br /> Mr. Horner distributed an abbreviated proposal, which he would present to the Town Manager, but <br /> although he initially removed parking requests from the Library and the Senior Center, he decided to <br /> request parking, in addition to the one space at Town Hall, two spaces at the Library and two spaces at <br /> the Senior Center. Ms. Waterman suggested that there had been previous discussion regarding <br /> requesting only the one space at Town Hall, rather than involving the other buildings. It was Mr. <br /> Horner's opinion that, with 70 spaces at the Library, it would make sense to ask for additional <br />
