Taylor <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Gottlieb at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> MINUTES <br /> Monday August 5, 2019 Regular Session: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the Regular Session Minutes of Monday, <br /> August 5, 2019 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Mary Adams Oleksak read aloud an open letter to the Board of Selectmen in advance of the Board of <br /> Selectmen's Meeting on Thursday, August 22, 2019. The letter voices support to fund Phase I to begin the <br /> clean-up of Mashpee's waterways and to remain with the adaptive management approach and seeking hybrid <br /> solutions. The letter was noted to be submitted by Ms. Oleksak,Nancy Curran, Glenn McCarthy and John <br /> Weltman. <br /> (enclosure) <br /> Mary Waygan, 35 Ashumet Road also urged the Board of Selectmen to move forward to fund Phase I of the <br /> Comprehensive Watershed Nitrogen Management Plan as it is clear this is basically the limiting factor of <br /> nitrogen loading for any serious development in the Town of Mashpee. Ms. Waygan also pressed the need to <br /> expend more Community Preservation Act funding on added open space. <br /> Lauren Kunzer 11 Riverview Avenue, Cotuit Bay Condominiums made note of the constant pooling of water on <br /> Quinaquisset Avenue that is causing traffic disruptions. Ms. Kunzer requested the Board install a catch basin to <br /> alleviate potential accidents in this area. Ms. Kunzer also advised of the housing crisis for affordable year round <br /> rental housing and advocated for the accessory dwelling bylaw proposed on the Town Meeting warrant. Ms. <br /> Kunzer also suggested the Town consider a co-housing program. In closing Ms. Kunzer expressed support of <br /> action proposed to improve water quality in the Town of Mashpee. <br />
