*DRAFT MINUTES* BOARD OF SELECTMEN SEPTEMBER 9, 2019 7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 9, 2019 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion of La Plaza del Sol Concerns: Rebecca Oakl.eL Michael Robbins,...Philip Afonso: <br /> .................... <br /> (continued) <br /> The Board of Selectmen was concerned with the plight of the residents regarding the La Plaza del Sol. <br /> The Board has authority in matters of compliance with respect to codes. Town Manager Rodney C. <br /> Collins indicated he has discussed this matter with the Police, Fire, Health Agent and Building <br /> Inspector to determine if there has been any violations with respect to the Town code or any other <br /> provision the Town of Mashpee could take action on. Mr. Collins was informed by the regulatory <br /> officials there are no violations to date. <br /> It was recommended that Ms. Oakley follow up with an articulated written complaint that would fall <br /> within the Town's jurisdiction to be specifically investigated. <br /> It was agreed the Town would look into the compliance aspect of the agreement. <br /> Discussion and A royal of Memorandum of Understanding Between the Town of Mash ee and the <br /> Mash ee old Indian Meetin House Authority Inc. MOIMHA : Parsonage Restoration (Feasibil.ityh. <br /> David Weeden was in attendance on behalf of the Mashpee Old Indian Meeting House Authority to <br /> request approval of the Parsonage Restoration Memorandum of Understanding. <br /> Approval of the amended Memorandum. of Understanding was deferred to the Selectmen's Meeting of <br /> September 23, 2019 to allow for formal review of the agreement by the respective parties. Mr. <br /> Weeden was agreeable to the deferral. <br /> Discussion and A royal of Proclamation: National Recover Month.-- <br /> Correspondence was received from Gail Wilson Human Services Director dated August 30, 2019 <br /> regarding observance of the National Recovery Month held every September. The 2019 Recovery <br /> Month theme is "Join the Voices for Recovery: Together We Are Stronger", emphasizes the need to <br /> share resources and build networks across the country that support recovery in all forms. <br /> A Proclamation read aloud by the Board of Selectmen Clerk recognizes the month of September 2019 <br /> as National Recovery Month in Mashpee. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to proclaim the Months of September 2019 as National <br /> Recovery Month in Mashpee to observe this month with appropriate programs, events and <br /> activities to support this year's Recovery Month theme. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,.yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes opposed, none <br />
