Mashpee Planning and Construction Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting Held Tuesday, August 27, 2019 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall—Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Committee Members Present: Steve Cook,Joe Brait, and Rachel Hodgman <br /> Absent: Tom O'Neill and Geoff Gorman <br /> Also Present: Catherine Laurent, DPW <br /> Chairman Steve Cook called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Joe Brait motioned to accept the minutes of the Meeting of March 7, 2019 as written; and <br /> Steve Cook seconded the motion. <br /> Vote: 2 Yes; 1 abstention <br /> Steve Cook, yes Joe Brait,yes Rachel Hodgman, abstain <br /> Old Business <br /> Update on Quashnet School Window/Roof Project <br /> The General Contractor has submitted as-built plans, warranties, and other close-out <br /> documents to the architect. Final payment for release of the remaining retainage has been <br /> issued. MSBA just sent to the Town for signature the funding contract amendment which <br /> reflects the actual GC contract amount. Steve signed on behalf of the Committee. The Owner's <br /> Project Manager will now finalize the close-out with MSBA. <br /> New Business <br /> Approval of Invoices <br /> As mentioned, the final payment for JJ Cardosi in the amount of$50,979.50 has been made. <br /> Because of the delay in the Committee meeting, the Town Manager authorized payment. The <br /> final invoices for the architect and OPM are still pending. <br /> Review of Contract for DPW Storage Garage <br /> The Town received one bid in response to the RFB issued for the 42x60 foot pre-engineering <br /> storage garage at DPW. The RFB was issued three times. No bid was received the first time, <br /> one bid was received the second time, and one bid from the same contractor was received the <br /> third time. The bid of$174,050, exceeded the approved funding of$125,000. The CIP <br /> Committee approved paying the balance of the project cost through the Capital Bond. The <br /> Board of Selectmen awarded a contract on July 22nd. The building design is still being finalized <br /> for order. It is a Morton Building. Steve offer to review the plans once received. <br />
