Town of Mashpee <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH - PUBLIC SESSION <br /> Mashpee Town Hall —Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of June 27, 2019 <br /> Board Members Present: Member Absent: Also Present: <br /> Brian Baumgaertel, Chair Glen Harrington, Health Agent <br /> Laurel Almquist,Co-Chair <br /> Mallory Langler,Clerk <br /> Chair Brian Baumgaertel called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM. <br /> APPOINTMENTS <br /> 7:15—Public Hearing,Innovative/Alternative Septic Regulation <br /> Chairman Brian Baumgaertel opened the public hearing at 7:15 p.m. Mr. Harrington commented that <br /> changes were to the regulation made based on the board's comments at the last meeting,and the public <br /> hearing was advertised as required,with the engineers/installers being notified by email. <br /> There being no immediate comments from the public, Chair Baumgaertel closed the public hearing and <br /> requested that the matter be tabled until 7:45 p.m., to ensure all interested parties had ample time to <br /> arrive and present their comments. <br /> Mallory Langler moved to table the public hearing on the Innovative/Alternative Septic Regulation until <br /> 7:45 p.m. Motion seconded by Laurel Almquist. VOTE: Unanimous(3-0). <br /> At 7:45 there was still no one from the public in attendance at the hearing; therefore, with no further <br /> comments or discussion, Mallory Langler moved to approve the current version of the <br /> Innovative/Alternative Septic Regulation. Motion seconded by Laurel. VOTE: Unanimous(3-0). <br /> 7:45—349 Great Neck Road North. This issue has been corrected. No discussion took place. <br /> 7:50—60 Shorewood Drive <br /> Mr. Harrington commented that a variance has been requested to allow an irrigation well to be installed <br /> in an area of known or anticipated groundwater contamination. The military has advised the Health <br /> Department that Perfluoroalkyl concentrations in the area have exceeded the EPA health advisory <br /> concentration. <br /> 1 <br />
