10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 9, 2019 <br /> LIAISON REPORTS <br /> Assembly of Delegates: The Assembly is continuing their review of the Charter. Questions may be <br /> forwarded to Mashpee's representative Thomas F. O'Hara. Meetings are televised. <br /> TOWN MANAGER UPDATES <br /> 911 Ceremony: The 911 Memorial Ceremony is scheduled to be held at 8:30 a.m. at the Mashpee Fire <br /> Department. <br /> Cable: Mashpee TV is scheduled to being upgrading their cables on September 20'. Work should be <br /> completed by October 1" <br /> Assessing: The Town Manager complimented Jason Streebel, Director of Assessing and his staff in <br /> securing over$1 million in funding from the Commonwealth over the next 5 years from land taking <br /> tax revenue not received. <br /> FEMA: Town employees were complimented for their input into the annual FEMA Report dated <br /> March 2018. <br /> Rte. 151 Improvements: Options for future wastewater infrastructure will be considered within the <br /> Rte. 15 1 construction project slated to begin in approximately one year. Correspondence was received <br /> from the DPW Director dated August 23, 2019 regarding the three options as noted; <br /> To undertake the sewer design to include in the project (would require design/construction funding), <br /> To delay sewer construction until 2030, <br /> Request to defer the road improvement project to a later year on the TIP (may jeopardize funding). <br /> DPW Storage Garage: The DPW storage garage approved by CIP has a small change to the design. <br /> Two overhead doors will be installed opposed to one. Town Counsel has advised,the amendment is <br /> not required to receive approval from the CIP as the project does not impact the budget. Acting on the <br /> opinion of Town Counsel,the Town Manager (also CIP Chairman) is authorized to approve the design <br /> change on behalf of the CIP. <br /> Correspondence—Converge, LLC re: JBCC: A draft letter was presented from the Board of <br /> Selectmen to; Matthew Kennedy, Founder and Managing Director of Converge, LLC regarding the <br /> potential acquisition of water and wastewater assets at Joint Base Cape Cod. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to place the above topic on the Selectmen's Agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed, none <br />
