Marie Stevenson, Winnie Johnson-Graham, Gail Wilson, Lynne Waterman, <br /> JoAnn Nadeau, Patty DeBoer,William Baker(Non-Voting Member), Cheyenne Hendricks (Non- <br /> Voting Member), <br /> Absent: Katherine Brown, Selectman Liaison John Cotton, Human Resource Director Kim Landry <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The meeting was opened by the Chair at 10:09 a.m. with a quorum. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> None at this time <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> None at this time <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Guests with Possible Interest in Open Positions-The Chair referenced Louis Horner and <br /> Elana Doyle's recent resignations, and had reached out to interested members of the community <br /> regarding the open positions in the MIDC. The Chair referenced two interested people who were <br /> unable to attend today's meeting, but invited the three individuals in attendance to make introductions. <br /> Lorraine Malcom, suggested by Ms. Waterman, Lola McCray, who the Chair had met at an outside <br /> meeting and Sue Wilson, invited by the Chair. Ms. Malcom expressed her interest in becoming more <br /> involved and had a particular interest in matters affecting an older population and currently lived in <br /> 55+affordable housing. Ms. McCray had been actively involved with a number of committees in <br /> Mashpee and was interested in learning more about the work of the MIDC. Ms. Wilson, an attorney <br /> and more recent resident of Mashpee, served on a number of boards in Brookline regarding equal <br /> rights for the LGBQ community and was currently the President of Cape Cod Pride and working on <br /> regional and local community development outreach. Members of the Committee also introduced <br /> themselves. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES August 13, 2019 <br /> Changes were recommended to the minutes by the Chair and Ms. Wilson, <br /> MOTION: A motion was made by Ms. Johnson-Graham to approve the minutes of August 13t11. <br /> Ms. Nadeau seconded the motion. 2 yes, 3 abstain <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Veterans Parking-The Chair confirmed that the signs had been installed for the two Veteran <br /> spaces, across the street, at the Veteran's Memorial. The signs reflected the edit recommended by the <br /> Committee at the last meeting. Previous discussions included the possibility of approaching businesses <br /> in Mashpee to offer similar signage as Botelho's but the Chair also suggested reaching out to veterans <br /> to inquire further about pursuing signage or if there were other matters that could be addressed. Ms, <br /> Johnson-Graham felt the Committee should continue to work toward establishing additional parking <br /> spaces in town to continue the work begun by Mr. Horner, adding that there was sufficient parking <br />
