Roscoe & Barbara A. Riley, 15 Birch Way. Proposed reconstruction of existing stairway RDA <br /> to dock and installation of mitigation plantings. <br /> Stairs were put in the 70's and are unsafe, Wayne Tavares (not present) is the engineer on <br /> the project and Mike Cannatta is the contractor (not present). Agent said it would certainly be <br /> an improvement to the existing stairway. It's flush with the bank right now and is proposed to <br /> be raised and jog it off to the right and mitigate that area that's been most impacted by <br /> existing stairway. The only real question is, was it looked at to do a straight staggering instead <br /> of the jog off to the right? The concern is when you try mitigation on a steep bank like that <br /> you really have to try to make sure it survives because the topography is difficult for plants to <br /> take hold.
