The Board of Selectmen agreed to revisit <br /> the Five-Year Policy Plan on Road Replacement. <br /> Polio #081: Public Participation at Public Meetin s: <br /> Policy#0 81, Public P articipation at Public Meetings was reviewed by the Board of S electmen prior to <br /> adoption. The document was reviewed to form by Town Counsel. Gottlieb,Chair of the Board of Selectmen requested the Board submit a letter to the National <br /> Marine Fisheries Service in support to the new regulations that protect herring, and endorse the <br /> recommendations-of the New England Fishery Management Council which create a 20-mile buffer zone <br /> off the Cape for midwater trawl boats and puts in place important catch limits for the small fish which are <br /> the heart of the Cape's ecosystem and vibrant economy. <br /> Amendment (8) places a 12-nautical mile buffer from.the Canadian border to the RI/CT border with <br /> additional 20-mile protections off the backshore of Cape Cod. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to send a letter in support to the National Marine Fisheries <br /> Service for Amendment(8). <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes opposed,none <br />
