*APPROVED 11-4-2019* Board of Selectmen Minutes 10-21-2019 <br /> Delete Section B.3 (Licensed Facility); <br /> In Section B.7, delete the existing definition of"Rental Property"and substitute the following language <br /> therefor: "Rental Property — an. owner-occupied, tenant-occupied, or non-owner occupied property <br /> including, but not limited to, an apartment, house, cottage, condominium or furnished accommodation <br /> that is not a hotel, motel, lodging house, or bed and breakfast establishment where 1) at least one <br /> room or unit is rented to an occupant or sub-occupant for a period of at least one night but not more <br /> than 31 consecutive calendar days; and 2)all accommodations are reserved in advance. <br /> In Section C.4. IV, substitute the clause "within a reasonable period of time, as defined by Board of <br /> Health regulation."for "within two hours for emergencies and twelve (12) hours for non-emergencies <br /> of being called", <br /> In Section D.1,fifth sentence, substitute the clause "within a reasonable period of time, as defined by <br /> Board of Health regulation."for "within two (2)hours or twelve (12)hours for non-emergency requests <br /> for assistance of any such notification or request"; <br /> In Section D.3, substitute the word "examined"for "inspected", <br /> In Section G.2, substitute "and at intervals so determined by Board of Health regulation, but not more <br /> than once annually'for the phrase "and annually thereafter",- <br /> In Section H, insert the word "agents"after the word "'authorized"',- <br /> In Section K.1, substitute "This chapter shall be enforced by the Inspector of Buildings, Health Agent, <br /> Code Compliance Inspector, or a police officer of the Town."for the original text; <br /> In Sections K.2 and 3, substitute the word "dwelling"for "building"in.the three places it appears; <br /> and with the exception of the phrase, "or take any other action relating thereto." <br /> Selectman Gottlieb stated that the Article as originally appeared in the warrant was not specific to the <br /> intent of generally applying only to "short term" rental properties and the revised motion would amend <br /> the article to apply to short term (at least one night but not more than 31 consecutive calendar days) <br /> rentals. The amendment would also add a "Code Compliance Inspector" to enforce the bylaw. Further, <br /> Selectman O'Hara deferred to Selectman Gottlieb to make the motion at Town Meeting. <br /> Motion made by Ms. Sherman to move Article#8 as amended. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: In favor: 5-0.
