*APPROVED 11-4-2019* Board of Selectmen Minutes 10-21-2019 Discussion of the Board of Selectmen's motion to be made for amendment to Article 6-General Bylaw for a Plastic Straw Ban ARTICLE 6 PROPOSED REVISED MOTION TO BE MADE BY SELECTMAN GOTTLIEB: 1 move the Town vote to approve Article 6 as printed in the warrant with the following Bylaw text modifications: In §126-16 Use Regulations, substitute "July 31, 2021"for"June 30, 2021" and with the exception of the phrase, "or take any other action relating thereto." It was disclosed that the Article as submitted and printed in the warrant had an error on the end date for disposal of unused plastic straws after the proposed ban would take effect. Mr. McKelvey stated that he has an objection to the ban and wants to send the Article back for further review, amendments and possibly be submitted in May 2020. Motion made by Ms. Sherman to move Article#6 as amended. Motion seconded by Mr. Cotton. VOTE: In favor: 5-0. (unanimous) Roll Call Vote: Mr. Gottlieb, yes Mr. Cotton, yes Mr. O'Hara, yes Ms. Sherman, yes Mr. Weeden, yes Discussion of the Board of Selectmen's motion to be made for amendment to Article 8-General Bylaw for Rental Properties ARTICLE 8 PROPOSED REVISED MOTION TO BE MADE BY SELECTMAN O'HARA: I move the Town vote to approve Article 8 as printed in the warrant with the following Bylaw text modifications: In Section A, add ", the provisions of G.L. c. 64G, §14, and any other enabling authority"after"Home Rule Authority"in the first sentence; In Section B.2 (Dwelling"), substitute "any facility licensed under any state housing or local housing laws or bylaws, including affordable housing facilities"for "any licensed facility and/or affordable housing facilities"at the end of that sentence; 3
