Eventually there will be no beach left to replace
nourishment. No sand is naturally replenishing the beach. The proposal is to place nourishment
below mean high water level. The Agent said this was issued a DEP#and a letter was received
from Marine Fisheries stating there are no shellfish there, also a letter from Natural Heritage
and Endangered Species stating there is a net benefit for shore bird habitat. Mr. Sweet asked how
close the trees are from the pond. The agent said probably 50ft. Hamilton Tree and
Landscaping did the assessment and recommended to remove 6 pitch pines and a dead tree.
There's no access to backyard, all trees would need to be climbed and hauled out. I wanted to
know if the trees have been inspected from a health standpoint. It's important and relevant.
The top 2 trees need to be removed, the others I'm not sure about. It's key information to get
from the arborist.
