SITE PLAN REVIEW MEETING MINUTES <br /> JULY 21, 2004 <br /> Present: Pat White, Administrative Assistant Building Department <br /> Jim Marr, Assistant Town Manager <br /> Sheldon Hamblin, Deputy Fire Chief <br /> Russ Wheeler, Building Inspector <br /> Eric Smith, Assistant Planner <br /> Glen Harrington, Board of Health <br /> Catherine Laurent, DPW <br /> Tom Fudala, Planner (arrived 10: 45 a.m.) <br /> Opened: 10:10 a.m. <br /> Jim Marr stated the mission of this group is to go over site plans and make <br /> recommendations to streamline the permitting process and eliminate problems down the <br /> line for applicants. <br /> Projects under review: <br /> 9 Kristina Lane (private road) <br /> 2-car attached garage with apartment above (family use only/not rental) <br /> Scott Williams presenting <br /> Approx. 900sf <br /> Setback, title V were ok <br /> The unit size was discussed, as the apartment shall be secondary and incidental to the <br /> principal use of the structure as the owner's home. The gross floor area of the <br /> accessory apartment shall be not less than three hundred (300) square feet or more <br /> than forty percent (40%) of the gross floor area of the structure. Off street parking was <br /> provided. <br /> Passage door upstairs closed off; there is a stairway with deck on outside. <br /> Sheldon discussed fire separation and smoke and heat detectors. <br /> Recommendations: Install leaching for one more bedroom or combine two bedrooms. <br /> Presently, septic designed for 3-bedroom. Connect hard-wired smoke detectors to the <br /> house. Heat detector in the garage suggested by Deputy Hamblin. <br /> Needed: Updated engineered plan required for the ZBA; ready to proceed to the ZBA <br /> for a special permit for accessory apartment; Board of Health permit for septic; Building <br /> Inspector plan approval. <br /> 21 Bavview Road <br /> Seconsett Island <br /> Basement apartment (family use only/not rental) <br /> Sandra Cohrs <br /> Tony Pola presenting <br />
