}
PLAN REVIEW MEETING MINUTES
JULY 15, 2005
PRESENT: Richard Stevens, Sheldon Hamblin, Catherine Laurent, Glen Harrington,Pat White.
Opened 10:00 a.m.
Projects Under Review:
154 Industrial Drive
Attorney Carl Gehring representing Bell Atlantic Mobile/Verizon Wireless
Co-locate antennas and ground equipment on existing tower
The Applicant redesigned its layout in conjunction with the site owner and some of the other
tenants to allow the Applicant to install its equipment inside the existing equipment building
located on site. They will utilize the left rear space, extend the sheet rock wall down and cord
off with their own fire door. Furthermore, the Applicant has decided to forego the installation of
its own proprietary emergency generator and instead upgrade and share a new Generac unit that
is much quieter, more fuel efficient, and will provide greater power(higher kw output) that fits
on the same pad and footprint. Carl reviewed the Noise and RF Compliance Reports with Tom
Fudala who is satisfied with what was submitted. The Cape Cod Commission approved the new
site plan layout inside the existing compound. With regard to the tower safety rescue protocol
that Sheldon requested, Carl learned that everyone has their own proprietary training manual.
They all meet OSHA standards. He suggested attaching a condition to the permit that whoever
gets the contract will pick the rigger and provide their manual and proof of training. The
Mashpee Fire Department cannot rescue someone off the tower, they are only equipped to treat
the party on the ground. Carl will submit a letter to the Building Department to that effect.
They can proceed to filing a Building Permit Application.
248 Falmouth Road
Howard Finkle
Accessory Apartment
He is getting a 15'variance to bring the garage 10' from the line. He has gone before ZBA and
been approved for a Special Permit. He plans to install a lift for his parents to use part of the
year. He plans two means of egress using the stairs and lift. He is adding one bedroom to the
three existing. He plans to connect to town water, and the special permit is contingent upon this.
He will need a heat detector system installed which transmits to a receiving station and smokes
inter-connected throughout the whole house. Once his architect draws up plans and they are
reviewed, he can apply for a Building Permit. Glen will need to sign off on the Application for
septic inspection approval and the town water hook up.
