PLAN REVIEW MEETING MINUTES
DECEMBER 2, 2005
Present: Tom Fudala, Town Planner
Ronnie Warden,Assistant Health Agent
Catherine Laurent,Assistant DPW Director
Sheldon Hamblin, Deputy Fire Chief
Charles Maintanis,Assistant Building Inspector
Richard Stevens, Building Inspector
Steve Solbo, Conservation Agent
Al Todino,Deputy Police Chief
Absent: None
Projects Under Review:
78 Industrial Drive
Manufacture and Repair Counter Tops
Kevin Cayer
Mr. Cayer stated he made the suggested changes to his plans including drainage changes. He
scaled down from 12 units to 7 units. Tom stated Mr. Cayer will receive a decision from the
Planning Board by Wednesday for his revised plan. The changes are as follows: The garage floor
plan was changed to show that 1/2 of building will be occupied by him; four doors were removed
on the west side; installation of a fence will hide the meters. Sheldon requested that the meters
should be labeled for the fire department and that the fire department connection should be visible
to the left of door. There is no drain or retention area on NW corner, since there is just roof
runoff. Ronnie asked about a swale and drain in the leaching field. The health department does
not want standing water. He has catch basins in the plan. Factory(Fl)uses are only allowed per
the building code. No other use groups can move in without Planning Board approval and
consultation with the Fire Department. Each new tenant will need a permit. The building will be
sprinklered. They will move two trees out of the grassed swales. Sheldon stated that no hydrant is
needed on the site. The applicant needs to provide written evidence to the Planning Board on
Wednesday supporting the construction of only nine parking spaces, demonstrating no turnover,
Rich suggested Mr. Cayer bring updated drawings. Ronnie requested a copy of a plan with all
updated changes. Tom noted that a tree is shown at the SW corner of the building in the
reclaimed asphalt area; it should be relocated or eliminated..
The Minutes of November 4, 2005 were moved and approved.
Meeting adjourned at 11:30 a.m.
Maly Gelsthorpe, Recording Secretary
