SEWER COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> FRIDAY, MAY 25 19996 <br /> SENIOR CENTER <br /> Present; Tom Fudala, Dennis Balzarini , Brad Caffyn <br /> Meeting, convened at 7 : 24 p.m. <br /> Worn explained the Commission must re-organize in May. Brad Ca fyn was not <br /> yet in attendance. After waiting, Tom and Dennis decided to begin the <br /> meeting because the re-organization needed to be done. <br /> Tory opened the floor to nominations for Chairman of the sewer Commission. <br /> Dennis made a. motion to nominate Tom Fudala for Chairman. <br /> Tom seconded the motion. All members were in favor 2- <br /> o . <br /> Tom explained the statute also requires that a clerk/secretary be elected. <br /> } <br /> Tom nominated. Bennis Balzari.nl to continue in the position of <br /> Clerk. <br /> Dennis nominated Brad -Cafyn for Clerk/Secretary of the <br /> Commission. Torn seconded the motion. <br /> Tom withdrew his nomination of Dennis for Clerk. <br /> All members were in favor of Brad for clerk, 2-0 . <br /> Tom said a. vice chairman is not required in the statute , but the Commission <br /> could elect one , to act as chairman in Tom' s absence, <br /> Tom nominated Dennis as Nice Chairman. Dennis seconded <br /> the motion. All members were in favor 2-0 . <br /> The Board Secretary will notify the Torn Clerk of the new officials of the <br /> Sewer Commission. <br /> The Commission discussed establishing a regular meeting time. Tom said <br /> they may have to meet more frequently then l time per month when they begin <br /> cork on the local comprehensive plan waste wager element . <br /> Tom has no problem with Tuesday or Thursday nights . <br /> Brad ,joined the meeting. Tour explained the he and Dennis voted to re- <br /> organize, Tom was elected Chairman, and Drag was elected Clerk, which are <br /> both statutory positions . <br /> Brad said he has a problem with the vote 'happening without all three <br /> members being here. <br /> Tom suggested they could re-vote now that Brad is here . <br /> Brad said that would not be necessary. He asked the responsibilities of the <br /> clerk? Tom read from the statute . The clerk keeps accurate record of the <br /> meetings and votes . Typically the Board Secretary does that, so he does <br /> not think the clerk will be responsible for that <br />
