The second step in anaerobic. water comes into the middle of the tank and there are sweepers on the top and bottom . The third step uses UV lights to kill the bugs, and sand filters are the final step. with this technology the outflow should be potable. willowbend pumps the outflow under the driving range. Is there sludge? Mr. Pascqua said it should get"'eaten". The plant is designed to accommodate 113,000 gallons per day. They do not get anywhere near that amount of flow now. Brad and Mr. fasclua had a discussion regarding actual usage of the plant and the possibility of adding flow from other developments. Brad asked if more flow would be beneficial to them?fed said it would increase the maintenance costs of the plant. Brad and Ed talked about irrigating with the"grey" water. Brad suggested they could add back to the Santuit River in this way. Ed said it is a difficult process for golf courses which have very specific irrigating requirements. If there were a lot of rain, ghat would they do with the grey water. d explained, as permit holder, Willowbend sloes not accept outside responsibilities. In reality, willowbend does not matter in the equation if the town wants to take the plant. To take this resource and use it to solve other problems makes sense. Brad suggested the cost average would be better for Willowbend if the town took over the plant. d said the biggest cost is the sewer lines. They have 4" and " pipes from the pumping stations.
