MAS EE SEER COMMISSION MEETING NMNVTES <br /> TUTSDAY,August13, 1 <br /> TOWN HALL <br /> Present: Dennis Balzarini, Tom Fudala, Brad Caf 'm <br /> Meeting convened at T 10 p.m. <br /> Worn presented members with a copy of the water Resource and waster water Facilities element <br /> of the focal Comprehensive plan. <br /> Tom reviewed the contents of the plan, he stated that it includes what this Commission has <br /> previously talked about. <br /> Page 8-5 discusses options: <br /> focus on opportunities to share systems, merge or piggyback on eistm ng systems. <br /> -relocate discharge outside of crftical re charge areas. <br /> develop small scale systems. <br /> It also includes summaries of the existing systems and the types of on--site denitrifying systems. <br /> Relocation of treated wastewater, there are 3 options- <br /> -pipeline to property on Great Neck Road South <br /> pipe to an area further south, south of the New Seahury County Club <br /> - injection underground. The Cape Cod Commission staff has said this wl1 not work. <br /> Brad said he disagreed with not sew ring New Sea bury and f opponesset, he has continually said <br /> that. <br /> Tom said the plan proposes managed, on site system in that area. ''here are too few people there <br /> in the winter to make severing worthwhile, here would only be 2 months worth of flow. <br /> Brad said the Mews,, and Maushop condos must have significant flow. <br /> Wam said the groundwater flow of that area is not going to Jehu Pond. Brad would like that <br /> substantiated. Tom will give him the report. <br /> This element includes recommended policies(Chapter . <br /> Brad asked ed if the Sewer Commission should set up a separate Commission, lie the water <br /> District? when W111 this Commission start taking over these plants' we should talk to <br /> willowhend to get going. <br /> Worn stated that action plan includes- <br /> - pursuing connecting additional neighborhoods to private wastewater facilities such as <br /> willowhend and Mashpee Commons and Stratford Ponds. <br /> pursue expansion.of Southport <br /> - investigate development of at least 1 cluster system. <br /> pursue connecting neighborhoods in the area of the next elementary school plant.
