Brad seconded the <br /> notion. All members were in favor - ** <br /> Brad suggested that the members met to set some goals for the Commission. The Commission <br /> also reeds to get some more cost information on the various systems and formulate reasons for <br /> the benefits of wastewater treatment systems vs. the costs. <br /> Toni sa'd a study will need to be clone to give us those costs. For example the cost to tie a few <br /> houses in a neighborhood together ill reduce the per unit cost of a system. Where are man <br /> variables. <br /> Dennissaid he is concerned about the maintenance costs. <br /> Torn said the study will also have to tally about management of the systems. <br /> e envisions the Sewer Commission hiring a firm for maintenance of all the systems under their <br /> purview. The Sewer Commission will have to collect the fees so there will be some staff <br /> involved. <br /> e believes the watershed Management Committee will gradually reach the paint that they <br /> understand a facilities plan is needed. <br /> At those meetings, he and Denm's can remind the Committee that a Sewer Commission already <br /> exists. <br /> Torn heard there is supposed to be a meeting with the State on municipal needs. If and when the <br /> meeting happens the Commission should get the State to support a facilities plan in 2 phases. <br /> Brad suggested sending a formal letter from this Committee to the Mate directly making <br /> ourselves known to them. It is important that in be on record, not just verbal. <br /> We should ask them to direct any sewer information to this Commission. . <br /> Worn has talked to 2 people at the State and asked that the Sewer Commission be put on their <br /> mailing list. <br /> Brad also suggested we send a notice to the Health Dept. and Executive Secretary asking that <br /> and information.regarding tale 5, sewers or available funding he directed to the Sever <br /> Commission. <br /> Tom agrees and thinks the Cons Com and Cape Cad Commission should be added to that list. <br /> The Commission will review a graft of that letter at their next meeting. <br /> Dennis made a motion to adjourn at :1 -p.m. Brad seconded the motion.
