The project was completed on time and <br /> $50,,000 below budget. <br /> -Narragansett Bay: on going project for 4-5 years. There is a lame public participation <br /> component. This is a design and construction project. <br /> Middletown: wastewater facilities management plan, similar to Mashpee. They are evaluation <br /> alternatives. <br /> -Environmental Impact Statement for Route : looked at water duality of Monomoy Lense, <br /> work including, modeling, hydro geological work,public meetings, interaction with the Cape <br /> Cod Commission. <br /> Why choose Louis Berger? They have the capacity to conduct this project, a proven track <br /> record, are responsive to the clients, on time and on budget performance, take a creative and <br /> innovative approach. <br /> They presented the estimated hours for this project and are expanded list of references and <br /> encouraged the members to contact then <br /> QUESTIONS <br /> 1. Explain the public participation efforts, specifically Louis Bergers' role and approach' <br /> Louise Berger responded that they envision that this will be a sensitive project, paying for it, <br /> pipeline location, treatment systems. Louis Berger will familiarize themselves with the town and <br /> the issues. They are responsive to the town needs and guidance. They prepare handouts which <br /> are informative and objective. There are other measures they can incorporate, accepting phone <br /> calls from the public. They will seek guidance from the town as to what they wart integrated. <br /> Everyone at Louis Berger is involved in public participation efforts. It usually revolves around <br /> education and information process. The key is for the public to know what your are doing, what <br /> you are looking at. The process must reflect the project. <br /> 2. John said Mashpee will be looking for funds from the private sector for this project. Do they <br /> have any experience in that`? <br /> .Toe Pratt said in other projects they have established a stakeholders group and included all <br /> sectors in that group and explain to there why the project is going forward, how the costs will be <br /> distributed, other methods to distribute costs. If you want a certain group to pick up a bigger <br /> portion of the prig you have to pay more attention to therm. <br /> Louis Berger gets involved in economic evaluation and can get involved in establishing <br /> betterment process. <br /> .Tom saw aerial photos mentioned in the proposal. we already have therm. <br /> They anticipated they would be available but they want one urge one in their office. <br /> . The proposals assumes new development will be tied into Title V. Torn is not sure he agrees <br /> with that. <br /> They said if that is not what is stated in the RFP them it is a mistake. <br /> . Tom asked what level of information will be included in the scenarios, especially phase Iv. <br /> What do the scenarios look like? <br /> Louis Berger responded, for example in Narraganesset, they developed 17 scenarios, included all <br /> data available up to that point to develop the scenarios.
