Funds <br /> were appropriated to the Affordable Housing Trust through a Memorandum of Understanding to <br /> assist in meeting the housing needs of the Mashpee community. The CPA projects include the <br /> transfer of$300,000 in CPA funds to the Affordable Housing Trust, the appropriation of <br /> $100,000 for the acquisition of 12 Cypress Circle for affordable housing purposes, and funding <br /> in the amount of$330,000 for the Housing Assistance Program II for a three-year period. <br /> It is highly recommended that a draft Grant Agreement be developed through legal counsel <br /> between the Town of Mashpee (acting through the Board of Selectmen and/or Community <br /> Preservation Committee) and the Affordable Housing Trust for the appropriation of CPA funds. <br /> It was agreed that Town Counsel would be requested to draft a Grant Agreement to serve as a <br /> blueprint Contractual Agreement for the authorized AHT appropriations and for future CPA <br /> appropriations to the Affordable Housing Trust. <br /> Motion made by Ms. Waygan to authorize the Chairman of the Community Preservation <br /> Committee to execute Contract Agreement(s) between the Affordable Housing Trust and <br /> Community Preservation Committee for the following; <br /> $300,000 to the Affordable Housing Trust for affordable housing purposes <br /> $100,000 for the Acquisition of 12 Cypress Circle for affordable housing purposes <br /> $330,000 to fund the Housing Assistance Program II for a three-year period <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Halpern. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Gottlieb,yes Mrs. Thayer,yes Mr. Halpern,yes <br /> Mr. Larkin,yes Ms. Waygan,yes Opposed, none <br />
