had been considering acquiring the units at a reasonable cost, but not as rental units. Mr. Abbott <br /> believed that three units remained affordable. It was believed that the two bedroom unit was <br /> available for sale at $209,000. <br /> Mashpee Commons-Mr. Abbott referenced a newspaper article regarding Mashpee <br /> Commons' intent to seek a Development Agreement between Mashpee and the Cape Cod <br /> Commission. Mr. Abbott reported that the article made no mention about use other than <br /> residential, with no statement about affordable units in the new plan. Mr. Abbott noted that <br /> future development would involve the area around the library and Jobs Fishing Road. The Chair <br /> suggested inviting Mashpee Commons to a future meeting. <br /> Wampanoag Village-It was noted that Mr. Lehrer would be following up with DHCD to <br /> check eligibility for the Town to submit an application to SHI. <br /> Habitat for Humanity-It was reported that Degrass was being built and the buyer had <br /> been selected. <br /> 243 Cotuit Road-It was reported that Mr. Pena had applied for$500,000 from the CPC <br /> for his project, but the request had been declined. <br /> Affordable Housing Production Plan (AHPP)-Mr. Abbott recommended dividing the <br /> chapters of the Plan to review and develop comments about what had since changed. The Chair <br /> confirmed there were 10 chapters. It was determined that each member would review two <br /> chapters, excluding the final chapter of the Plan. <br /> Chairman Isbitz-Overview&Purpose, Goals& Objectives, Community Demographics <br /> Mr. Abbott-Housing Inventory (4), Future Housing Demand (7) <br /> Mr. Johnson-Development Constraints &Limitations(5), Housing Costs& Affordability (6) <br /> Mr.Willard-Production Plan for Affordable Housing(8), Barriers to Affordable Housing(9) <br /> (both recommended to discuss with Mr. Lehrer) <br /> It was suggested to reach out to Mary Waygan, Chair of the Planning Board, as well as Mr. <br /> Lehrer, for information and help with the plan. It was also suggested to contact the Cape Cod <br /> Commission to update demographics. The Chair noted that they could provide an update, rather <br /> than a rewrite, providing a revision in two years.
