Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 10, 2020 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Certification of Hiring Process: Police Officer Gillian Brown: Police Chief Scott Carlin: <br /> Correspondence was received from Chief of Police Scott W. Carline dated February 4, 2020 relative to the <br /> process certification for the position of Police Officer. It was affirmed by Town Manager Rodney C. Collins <br /> that all Hiring Policies & Procedures have been adhered to for the appointment of Gillian Brown as a full-time <br /> Police Officer at Step I of the intended pay scale. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to certify and confirm the Hiring Process of Police Officer Gillian <br /> Brown with appointment effective February 17,2020. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Elder Services: The Board of Selectmen is invited to participate in the Meals on Wheels program offered <br /> through Elder Services on March 18, 2020. Those in need of this support are reminded to reach out to this <br /> organization for assistance. <br /> Mashpee Wakeby Lake Management Committee: Communication was received from the MWLM Committee <br /> identifying several storm water management areas to address. <br /> Barnstable County Update: It was noted Barnstable County is reviewing on options for the disposal of solid <br /> waste with the 15 Cape communities. A working group will be formed to address local needs. <br /> The Barnstable County Dredge is on schedule with dredging to begin in Mashpee this week weather permitting. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion of Mashpee Commons Notice of Intent to File a Development Agreement with the Cape Cod <br /> Commission: <br /> The Board of Selectmen was in receipt of a formal Notice of Intent(NOI) dated January 24, 2020 from <br /> Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership to file a Development Agreement with the Cape Cod Commission. <br /> Copies were also provided to the Town Manager, the Planning Board and Town Planner. <br /> Eliza Cox and Tom Ferrante were in attendance representing Mashpee Commons, LLP to review the procedural <br /> process. After meeting with Cape Cod Commission representatives it is likely the full CCC will review the <br /> NOI at their March 3, 2020 public meeting. <br /> The Board of Selectmen was requested to provide a letter of support to the Development Agreement process. It <br /> was noted the Planning Board has submitted a letter of support as an exhibit to the NOI. <br />
