8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 10, 2020 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion of Mashpee Commons Notice of Intent to File a Development Agreement with the Cape Cod <br /> Commission: (continued) <br /> It was disclosed the Notice of Intent to file a Development Agreement with the Cape Cod Commission is <br /> inclusive of 186 contiguous acres, a vision of more intense development in the focused activity center. The <br /> lesser developable areas, approximately 64 acres off of Great Neck Road South are not included in the filing. <br /> Although it has not been determined,the properties absent of the submission may be a part of mitigation <br /> discussion. As the process moves forward details regarding the intended use of the additional lands would be <br /> disclosed. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cotton to submit a letter of support for the Mashpee Commons Development <br /> Agreement process. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0-1. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden, abstained Opposed, none <br /> Selectman Weeden disclosed that he serves on the Cape Cod Commission and would therefore abstain from <br /> voting on this matter. <br /> Discussion and Approval of Appointment of Deputy Shellfish Constables: Rachel Fordham; Halley Steinmetz: <br /> Correspondence was received from Richard York; Director of Natural Resources dated January 16, 2020 <br /> recommending the appointment of Waterways Assistants Rachel Fordham and Halley Steinmetz as Deputy <br /> Shellfish Constables for enforcement purposes. Both candidates are well qualified, and understand the <br /> materials related to the Constable Training Course. With approval of the appointment,the applicants will take <br /> the Training Course offered at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cotton to appoint Rachael Fordham and Halley Steinmetz as Deputy <br /> Shellfish Constables are recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br />
