10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 27, 2020 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Approval of Revised Building Permit Fees: Building Inspector Charles Maintainis: (continued) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve and institute the Building Fee Increase as of May 1, <br /> 2020 as outlined in the referenced memorandum of January 13,2020, posting and duly advertising the <br /> increase for public awareness. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0-1. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara, abstained <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br /> Discussion of Town Owned Property at 108 Commercial Street: Town Planner Evan Lehrer: <br /> Evan Lehrer was present to request the Board re-establish the dialogue relative to the development of 108 <br /> Commercial Street previously identified as suitable for a mixed-use workforce/affordable housing project. The <br /> 6.19 acre site is located directly across from the Community Health Center. <br /> Mr. Lehrer indicated the Town has recently received credible interest from developers to construct a hotel on <br /> this site. The property has unique constraints and it may be prudent to establish a working group to revisit the <br /> sustainability of this property. <br /> The property could be developed for mixed use to include a hotel, and residential development. Mr. Lehrer <br /> indicated there are limited opportunities in the Town of Mashpee to establish hospitalities and more <br /> opportunities for affordable housing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to authorize the Town Manager to bring forth a recommendation <br /> to the Board of Selectmen of individuals to be considered for the working group in the near future. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none , <br />
