Mashpee Planning Board <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> February 19, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall-Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Present: Chairman Mary Waygan, Joe Cummings, Dennis Balzarini, John(Jack)Phelan,Robert <br /> (Rob)Hansen(Alt.) <br /> Also: Evan Lehrer-Town Planner; Charles Rowley-Town Consultant Engineer <br /> Absent: Joseph Callahan <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The Town of Mashpee Planning Board meeting was opened with a quorum in the Waquoit <br /> Meeting Room at Mashpee Town Hall by Chairman Waygan, at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, <br /> February 19, 2020. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Attendees were reminded that the <br /> meeting was being recorded and video graphed. <br /> APPROVAL, OF MINUTES—February 5,2020 <br /> The Chair and Board members had no corrections to the minutes. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to accept the minutes of February 5"' as <br /> presented. Mr. Cummings seconded the motion. 4 yes, 1 abstained <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Review and discussion regarding update of Local Comprehensive Plan-The Chair <br /> incorporated the new additions into the survey, as discussed at the last meeting. The Board read <br /> through the survey questions. <br /> #4-Mr. Phelan inquired about the need for information regarding the precincts and <br /> neighborhood, particularly as many residents may be unaware of their precinct. It was noted that <br /> there was a map identifying the neighborhoods and precincts. Mr. Lehrer recommended using <br /> the existing map referencing neighborhoods or requesting that respondent input their address. <br /> The Chair and Mr. Balzarini confirmed that the information regarding respondent's residence <br /> location was helpful information in relation to the Town. It was suggested that it could be a <br /> privacy concern to require residents to list their address. There was consensus to provide the <br /> precinct map with the question. <br /> #8-It was confirmed that the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles used gender <br /> verbiage term X <br /> #14-The buildout level had not yet been identified <br /> #17-Mr. Phelan inquired whether residents would be confused by the definition for <br /> Mixed Use and it was determined that(with commercial, retail and residential uses)would <br /> appear in parenthesis. Mr. Rowley inquired whether a question should be posed to residents if <br /> they were happy with the location of commercial districts, noting that zoning could be adjusted if <br /> there was a need to readjust future development. Mr. Phelan referenced an addition to#34. <br /> 1 <br />
