Mashpee Inclusion & Diversity Committee <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> February 4,2020 at 10:00 am <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Present: Chairwoman J. Marie Stevenson, Winnie Johnson-Graham, Gail Wilson, JoAnn <br /> Nadeau, Lynne Waterman, Susan Wilson <br /> Also: Human Resource Director Kim Landry <br /> Absent: Patty DeBoer, William Baker(Non-Voting), Cheyenne Hendricks (Non-Voting) <br /> Selectman Liaison John Cotton <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The meeting was opened by the Chair at 10:00 a.m. with a quorum. The Chair introduced <br /> attendees to the meeting to include Barbara Saran (supporter), Marie Blackburn and Wayne Lobo <br /> (Cape Cod Cape Verdean Society & Cultural Museum) and Mohamad Fand (proposed <br /> Committee member). <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES January 14,2019 <br /> MOTION: A motion was made by Ms.Waterman to approve the minutes. Ms. Johnson- <br /> Graham seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> Ms. Waterman inquired about making note of members of the public attending the meeting and it <br /> was confirmed by the Board Secretary that their names would be included where introduced. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> None at this time. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> The Chair announced that she had been in receipt of an email from the Town of Wellfleet <br /> regarding the Child Care Program for Town Meeting and she referred the inquiry to Ms. DeBoer. <br /> PUBLIC COUNT <br /> None at this time. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Brochure-The Chair reported that Ms. DeBoer made the final changes to the brochure, <br /> which has since been approved by the Town Manager. The Chair read his response for the <br /> record. The Chair reported that she had emailed the brochure to each of the organizations, <br /> inviting them to request a hard copy version. Those organizations listing only their phone <br /> number, the Chair has reached out by phone, recommending they could pick up copies in Human <br /> Resources. Copies of the brochure were also being distributed by Committee members to such <br /> locations as the Senior Center,Men's Club, Tribal Center, Boys & Girls Club, Library, Mashpee <br /> Commons, Chamber of Commerce, Schools and the Cotuit Center for the Arts. Ms. DeBoer had <br /> the brochures copied through the school. <br />
