Cotton, Selectman Thomas F. O'Hara, <br /> Selectman Carol A. Sherman, Selectman David W. Weeden <br /> Town Manager Rodney C. Collins <br /> Assistant Town Managers Wayne E. Taylor <br /> Meeting Called to order by Chairman Gottlieb at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Town Manager Rodney C. Collins opened the meeting of the Board of Selectmen by announcing the Town of <br /> Mashpee is abiding by the orders imposed by Governor Charles D. Balser, and has closed all facilities in an <br /> effort to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus with the exception of essential services. This includes <br /> Police, Fire and the Department of Public Works until at least April 8, 2020. The Transfer Station remains open <br /> with regular working hours. Unfortunately, on this date there has been(2) confirmed cases in the Town of <br /> Mashpee. <br /> To enable this meeting, the Board of Selectmen acknowledged attendance via remote participation. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Monday March 16 2020 Regular and Executive Session: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the Regular and Executive Session minutes of <br /> Monday,March 16, 2020 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton, <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman weeden,yes Opposed, none <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Gregory McKelvey a resident of 11 Menemsha Road and a member of the Finance Committee made comment <br /> on the possible implications of the COVID-19 situation and the affect it may have on Mashpee residents who <br /> may experience difficult financial conditions due to this circumstance. In concern Mr. McKelvey <br /> recommended the Board extend the due date.of property taxes and give consideration when reviewing warrant <br /> articles to remove all articles related to debt or increases in the tax base as well as disclosing the tax rate <br /> clearly to the voters. <br />
