*DRAFT BOARD OF SELECTMEN MINUTES MARCH 23, 2020* 3 Board of Selectmen Minutes March 23, 2020 APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS Due to the nature of the current circumstances,the Board of Selectmen waived the attendance requirement for candidates to be appointed to various Town boards and committees. Discussion and Approval of the Following A � ointments to the Conservation Commission: John Swartzbaugh--Term Expires June 3 0 2022: Correspondence was received from the Conservation Agent dated March 13, 2020 recommending the appointment of John Swartzbaugh as a full-time Conservation Commissioner. A letter of interest and resume was attached to the communication. Mr. Swartzbaugh's background has primarily focused on environmental consulting, public relations and communications. Mr. Swartzbaugh was a former member of the Mashpee Waterways Commission. Motion made by Selectman weeden to appoint John Swartzbaugh to the Conservation Commission as a full-time voting member for a term to expire; June 30, 2022. Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman.Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman weeden,yes opposed, none Paul Columbo—Term Expires June 30, 2020: Additional communication from the Conservation Agent endorsed the appointment of Paul Columbo to the full-time status of Conservation Commissioner, Mr. Columbo previously served as a conservation commissioner in the Towns of Clinton and Leominister, MA. He has a strong background in environmental education and environmental science. Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to appoint Paul Columbo to the Conservation Commission as a full-time voting member for a term to expire; June 30, 2020.
