Minutes of Meeting of
Mashpee Plan Review Committee
Tuesday, December 17, 2019
Scott Carline asked Charlie if Tim was given the wrong information. Charlie said
he is not sure what advise he was given but there are a set of standards in'the
Building Department, such as zoning issues, zoning compliance for structures
under a certain square feet, and certain setback requirements. A 12 ft. by 20 ft. is
over the threshold and requires a building permit. Once a building permit is
required it needs to meet all building requirements, and especially if it's in a velocity
zone.
Evan said that this application is specifically for the parking, but there seems to be
some code related issues that need to be discussed with the Building Department.
Drew said that the project did go through the Concom. The Form 2 is part of the _
checklist process in the Conservation Department and requires the Building
Inspector to sign. Conversations on this project were accurate and not misleading.
This project went through the formal review process, and everything was
approved. No other comments.
Tom Rullo,. Fire Chief asked what is being stored in the existing shed..Tim said
that he only has yard tools in the shed. Tim said that he has a fire safe container
that is flammable in the other building. Tom asked if there was electrical in-the
sheds. Tim said an inspection was done and signed off. Tom asked about
configuration of the new slips that will be.installed for fire safety. Tim said that the
new slips will not be extended further than what exists. There are extinguishers on
the docks. Tom said there is a new State law that permitting will be required for
shrink wrapping.
There were no other comments from the committee or applicants.
Evan made a-motion to recommend approval of the Special Permit Modification
application to the ZBA specific to the parking requirements. He would encourage . .
the applicant to .have an active conversation with the Building Department.
regarding all code related issues to be dealt with in a timely.manner prior to and
after the public hearing if necessary. Scott second. All were in favor.
Other Business:
Approve Meeting Minutes dated October 1., 2019
Evan made a motion to approve the October 1, 2019 meeting minutes. Drew
second. All were in favor. Scott made a motion to adjourn. All were in favor. The
meeting adjourned at 10:45 am.
Respectfully submitted;
l These minutes were approved at the Plan Review Meeting
dated January 21,2020.
Mary Ann Romero
Administrative Secretary
Zoning Board of Appeals
5
