He stated for the record that all Board
members were participating remotely.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Review of amendments to Refuse Hauler Regulation. Mr. Harrington commented that, at the
last meeting, the Board instructed the Health Agent to prepare an amended Refuse Regulation
that included a requirement for a bond in the amount of$25,000 and an inspection requirement.
The Board also asked if Town Counsel could determine if the bond requirement could be borne
only by refuse haulers whose primary place of business is located in Mashpee,or if it had to apply
to all Mashpee licensed refuse haulers. Mr. Harrington stated that Town Counsel has not yet been
contacted; however, now that a draft regulation has been prepared, it can be forwarded for
review.
Ms. Warden asked Mr. Harrington if he could look back at previous versions of the regulation to
see what alternatives it provided for in lieu of a bond, such as a monetary amount/check. Glen
agreed to look into that, and also noted that he was unsure whetherthe Board had anyjurisdiction
over "previously issued Refuse Hauler Licenses" as stated in the Section III, Paragraph 6 of the
Regulation.
Chair Baumgaertel noted that some of the haulers may need a reminder that 7 a.m. is the start
time,and no earlier.
2.
