• Stayed up-to-date with updates from the COVID-19 Command Center and daily briefings from <br /> Governor Baker. <br /> • Met with the Department of Public Works and the Town Manager to discuss the implementation <br /> of COVID-19 prevention strategies in Town buildings for re-opening. <br /> • Maintained the Mashpee COVID-19 webpage with up-to-date information. <br /> • Performed pre-operation inspections for The Raw Bar for takeout only, and for Yummi Sushi in <br /> Roche Bros. <br /> • Inquired with Region 5 HMCC about the turnaround time fora large order of masks.The response <br /> was that it would be unlikely that a large order would be filled. <br /> • Participated in a webinar about the roll-out of the Community Tracing Collaborative. <br /> • Communicated with the Council on Aging regarding face covering sanitization. <br /> • Discussed a face covering requirement with the Town Manager and the Chairman of the Board of <br /> Health, and drafted an Order for approval. <br /> • Communicated with several food establishments about masks. <br /> • Advised a long-term care facility about family members dropping off food for residents. <br /> • Participated in weekly conference calls with the Cape Cod Health Agents Coalition and the <br /> Department of Public Health.. <br /> • Responded to calls from community members about mask requirements. <br /> • Investigated complaints of short-term rentals violating the non-essential business order. <br /> • Responded to two inquiries from seasonal campgrounds regarding planning and opening. <br /> • Communicated with the Superintendent regarding plans for senior prom and graduation. <br /> • Communicated new boating guidelines to the Harbormaster. <br /> • Discussed first Mashpee COVID 19 death with the VNA and the Town Manager. <br /> Ms. Warden asked if there was any new information on the short-term rentals, and Mr. Harrington <br /> answered that the owner of 43 Little Neck Lane had rented the property to a group from New York. <br /> He reminded Board members that persons occupying a short-term rental prior to March 315t could <br /> continue to remain in the property for the duration of the rental, but rentals after March 315t were <br /> allowed only for persons who were quarantining, isolating, or in support of the COVID 19 response. <br /> This particular rental began after March 3111, so Mr. Harrington was looking into what the fine <br /> structure would be on that. Enforcement is$300/offense under the Governor's Declaration of Public <br /> Health Emergency. Clarification is needed as to whether that is a per day fine. <br /> Chair Baumgaertel asked about Mashpee Middle High School graduation and prom plans. Mr. <br /> Harrington stated graduation is planned for July 25". He had advised the Superintendent that <br /> graduation should be outside and seating should be placed 6' apart,with students walking across the <br /> stage and picking up diplomas that were left for them at a table. Speakers can be in attendance, but <br /> parents and faculty cannot. Mr. Harrington recommended to the Superintendent that prom be <br /> postponed until the fall, similar to what other towns are doing. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. The minutes of the April 16,2020 public session were <br /> reviewed. <br /> There being no comments or revisions, Veronica Warden moved to approve the minutes of the <br /> April 16, 2020 public session meeting.
