Public Access:The issue of repainting and reorienting the parking lines for the,Ockway Boat Ramp <br /> was reviewed. After extensive discussion it was agreed that it made sense to reverse the traffic flow and <br /> the parking lines when repainting in the spring.A motion to approve this recommendation was made by <br /> Don MacDonald, seconded by Dick Noonan and unanimously approved by all present. <br /> Waterways Improvement Plans: Ken reported that the Popponesset Approach dredge requested by <br /> Mashpee for January 2020, but scheduled by the County for mid December has slid due to inclement <br /> weather(wind).The pre dredge survey should be conducted this week or next week and the work done <br /> the second week of February . <br /> LG/GR Expansion Project: Dick Noonan quickly reviewed the Tidal Surge Analysis Study contract with <br /> UMass Dartmouth and the importance of the data to our dredging efforts going forward. It will hopefully <br /> answer the question of whether dredging can have a positive impact on the flushing of nitrogen from our <br /> waters. <br /> New Business: <br /> - Articles for the May Town Meeting: Ken reported that he needs to submit an article to transfer funds to <br /> the Harbormaster's budget for waterways maintenance and improvement. He also indicated that he <br /> will write an article for the Town Meeting Warrant for the Popponesset Approach Channel Dredge. Ken <br /> will look to other Commission members for input. <br /> - Ken asked that he be granted the authority to write articles on our(MWC) behalf.A motion to grant <br /> authority was made by Don MacDonald, seconded by Tim Leedham and was unanimously approved <br /> by all present. <br /> - Dick Noonan reviewed the report he drafted on behalf the Waterways Commission for inclusion in <br /> Town's 2019 Annual Report. A suggestion was made by Don MacDonald to include more specific <br /> wording on our advisory role to the BOS.The additional wording was agreed to.A motion to approve <br /> the report as amended was made by Don MacDonald, seconded by Tim Leedham and unanimously <br /> approved by all present.
