Town of Mashee <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> ,p Mash ee Massachusetts 02649 <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH - PUBLIC SESSION <br /> Mashpee Town Hall —Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of May 21, 2020 <br /> Board Members Present: Member Absent: Also Present: <br /> Brian Baumgaertel,Chair Glen Harrington; Health Agent <br /> Veronica Warden,Clerk Caitlin Gardipe,Assistant Health Agent <br /> Chair Brian Baumgaertel called the meeting to order at 6:05 PM. ,He stated for the record that all Board <br /> members were participating remotely. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Review of amendments to Refuse Hauler Regulation. Mr. Harrington commented'that Town <br /> Counsel has not reviewed the regulation;therefore,we will need to continue that. There <br /> was a revision added to include alternatives to the bond requirement.. <br /> There being no comments or discussion, Veronica Warden moved to continue the matter of the <br /> Refuse Hauler Regulation until Town Counsel has had an opportunity to review and comment on <br /> the bond requirement. Motion seconded by Brian Baumgaertel. Roll call vote: Brian Baumgaertel <br /> (yes); Veronica Warden (yes). VOTE: Unanimous(2-0). <br /> 2. COVID-19 update. Mr. Harrington commented that the following actions are completed or <br /> ongoing: <br /> • Stayed up to date on the latest COVID-19 related information via daily COVID-19 Command Center <br /> updates and weekly Conference calls with.the DPH and the Cape Cod Health Agent's Coalition <br /> • Communicated new COVID-19 case numbers to the Town Manager and our public safety <br /> answering point' <br /> • Discussed new mask order with food establishments and septic installers/engineers <br /> • Issued cease and desist letters to 2 pet grooming businesses for violating the non-essential <br /> business order <br /> • Discussed mask distribution to seniors with the Council on Aging <br /> • Brainstormed Certified Food Protection Manager and ServSafe certification extension options <br /> with other Cape Cod Health Agents <br /> • Maintained the Mashpee COVID-19 webpage <br /> • Investigated complaints about Stop.&Shop, Dunkin' Donuts on Rt. 151,Sprout Farm, Honey Dew <br /> Donuts, Best Buy Beverage, and The Picnic Box for failure to wear face coverings <br /> • Monitored South Cape Beach for gatherings <br /> • Updated COVID-19 case tracking data to include a new category for"probable"positives for those <br /> that have received positive antibody test results <br /> 1 <br />
