• Maintained our communication with our public safety answering point,the Fire Department,and <br /> the Town Manager regarding case numbers <br /> • Stayed up-to-date on new guidance for graduations, food establishments, camps, lodging, and <br /> other businesses for Phase I and in anticipation of Phase 11 of re-opening <br /> • Participated in weekly conference calls with the Department of Public Health and other Cape Cod <br /> Health Agents <br /> • Updated the COVID-19 webpage <br /> • Answered questions from businesses about Phase I re-opening standards and self-certification <br /> documents <br /> • Performed pre-operational inspections for seasonal restaurants for takeout only <br /> • Sent an email blast to all the Mashpee food establishments to inform them that outdoor seating <br /> and on-premises food consumption is still prohibited during Phase I <br /> • Responded to complaints of customers sitting and eating at outdoor tables at The Picnic Box, <br /> Panera Bread, Rory's Organic Market,and Mashpee Commons <br /> • Responded to complaints at Illusions Hair Salon and Port Cargo for violations of Phase I mandatory <br /> safety standards <br /> • Responded to a complaint at the Dunkin' Donuts on Rt. 130 for employees not wearing masks <br /> • Informed the management at the Popponesset Marketplace that outdoor seating should not be <br /> offered <br /> • Spoke to other local Health Agents to make sure new guidelines and orders are enforced <br /> consistently between towns <br /> • Advised the Council on Aging regarding audiobook donations and disinfection <br /> • Discussed resuming minibus operation with the Council on Aging <br /> • Met with the Fire Department, Building Department,and the Town Manager regarding expanding <br /> outdoor seating for food establishments <br /> • Sent mask posters to The Coffee Table for them to post on the door <br /> • Issued new mandatory safety standards to recreational camps and food establishments for Phase <br /> II <br /> • Referred prospective Community Tracing Collaborative volunteers to the Department of Public <br /> Health website for information <br /> Mr. Harrington stated that the state guidance on outdoor seating had not yet been issued,but he <br /> had met with the Town Manager to come up with a plan. Several restaurants submitted <br /> floorplans, which require review and comment by a Health Agent. Capacity will be limited to a <br /> maximum of six (6) people at a table, and guests/parties will have to social distance. The <br /> Governor's order was more specific to zoning and special permits, and relaxing those <br /> requirements. <br /> Chair Baumgaertel inquired about the plan for Town Meeting, and Mr. Harrington answered that <br /> he believed they were using both the gym and auditorium, to provide for adequate social <br /> distancing. The election is scheduled for June 23rd in the Quashnet School. Chair Baumgaertel <br /> asked if there were any plans for disinfection of pens, etc., and Mr. Harrington stated that he <br /> would follow up with the Town Clerk. Graduation is coming up on July 251", and will take place <br /> using a tent with no sides. Mr. Harrington will have more details on that following his conference <br /> call with the school on Tuesday. Mr.Harrington reviewed the food establishment self-certification <br /> process, stating that the checklists do not need to be turned in to the Board of Health. He stated <br /> that, if Board members encounter restaurant employees not wearing masks, they should report <br /> back to the Health Office so an agent can follow up. The process for enforcement is a verbal <br /> warning, written warning, and issuance of fines, and we need to go through those steps <br /> accordingly. He further advised the Board that there have been no issues reported at the beaches. <br /> 3 <br />
