Ed Eichner
recommended that the Commission consider changes that would occur to the watershed as the volume
of discharge is increased. Mr. Howes noted that John's Pond and Ashumet Pond are deep ponds. Ed
Baker questioned use of the infrastructure for the CS 10 Pump&Treat located in the area. Mr.
Eichner questioned where the ponds were classified on the Integrated List, since a Category 5 would
require completion of the TMDL. Mr. Baker responded that Santuit Pond is a Category 5.
Subsurface, which is more rigid than drip irrigation, was used for the following sites but both would
result in the same capacity. Some distance away from water hazards were included in Mr. Gregg's
calculations, although Mr. Fudala noted that the water hazards are man made, clay lined ponds. Mr.
Gregg again stated his use of conservative modeling since there were many unknown factors that
would be considered at a later date.
Willowbend Country Club
-North+ South =range of.4-.6 mgd; includes all of Willowbend utilizing fairway 1, 4, 7, 8, 9 and
other non-identified fairways
-Space allowed for existing discharge pipe to leaching pits
-North Fairways averaged 30,000-40,000 gpd subsurface each
-Issue of an archeological site nearby in the North
-South Fairways averaged 10,000-60,000 gpd subsurface each
-Impact of subsurface to golf course would be significant
-Negotiations necessary
New Seabury 1 & 2
-Area 1 is 160,000 gpd subsurface (Fairways 2 & 7)
-Area 2 is 250,000-300,000 gpd subsurface (Fairways 1 & 9)
-Area 1 is 4.7 acres
-Area 2 is 7.18 acres and may be a flood zone area that may require drip irrigation as a result
-The newly proposed sites at New Seabury total _6-.75 mgd
-Total capacity would be 1.3 million gallons
Mr. Howes questioned the capacity at the Keeter Property to which Mr. Gregg responded that it ranged
from .3 to 1.
3
