Technical Report <br /> Mashpee,MA <br /> AIRVAc Estimate#2005-120 <br /> FORCE MAIN <br /> Force main costs are not included in our budget estimate; however, the cost for <br /> the vacuum station includes the necessary sewage pumps to transmit the flow to <br /> the ultimate point of discharge. <br /> BASIS OF PRICING <br /> Unit prices for vacuum mains are site specific. Normally,the installed cost of a 6" <br /> vacuum main will fall between the price of 6" low pressure and 8" gravity sewer <br /> (usually 15 - 20% more than pressure, but 25-35% less than gravity) as the <br /> following example shows: <br /> 6"pressure $2311f <br /> 6"vacuum $2611f <br /> 8"gravity $37t1f <br /> Unit prices of$2411f,$26t1f,$2811f,and$3011f for 4",6",8",and 10"vacuum mains <br /> respectively are used in the budget estimate. Unit prices have been determined <br /> by provided gravity and force main installed unit costs. <br /> Please compare these vacuum main unit prices to that of gravity and force <br /> main to ensure the quoted vacuum prices fall within a reasonable range. . <br /> Quoted prices may need to be adjusted accordingly. <br /> Unit prices for the AIRIAC valve pits and vacuum station are based on historical <br /> data from previous projects around the country. <br /> Please note that our cost estimate does not include items such as force main, <br /> final surface restoration, homeowner hookups and other incidental costs. Nor <br /> does it include project costs such as engineering,R-O-W,legal,etc <br /> OPERATION&MAINTENANCE ESTIMATE <br /> We have enclosed estimates of the annual Operational & Maintenance costs <br /> (O&M)for this project. These estimates are based on data gathered by the EPA <br /> from operating systems in 1989. The data and findings were published in EPA <br /> manual Alternative Wastewater Collection Systems (EPAt62511-91t024).
