6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 31, 2020 <br /> Article #17: To prohibit the use of Personal Watercrafts on Ashumet Pond (continued) <br /> DNR Director Fisher indicated the MA Environmental Police have an extensive call log, and many of the <br /> residents on Ashumet Pond have been cited. In recent conversation with several residents there are very few <br /> positive responses regarding the use of personal watercrafts on Ashumet Pond. <br /> As the Board of Selectmen discussed this matter it was noted the Town of Mashpee has the ability to enforce <br /> regulations however the ban is for personal watercraft. There is no jurisdiction for off-loading at the ramp <br /> location. <br /> It was noted the language of the article is consistent with the Town of Falmouth to enable adequate enforcement. <br /> Discussion and Approval of Cable & Conduit Locations at Nathan Ellis Highway West of Job's Fishing Road <br /> Petition#2387970: Pole Hearing Held on August 24 2020— 8:30 am: Assistant Town Manager Wayne Taylor: <br /> (Continued from August 24, 2020 Meeting) <br /> After consulting the Director of Public Works it was determined the conduit location on Nathan Ellis Highway <br /> was suitable therefore Wayne E. Taylor, Assistant Town Manager and Hearing Officer recommended approval. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the petition of NStar Electric Company d/b/a Eversource <br /> Energy; #2387979 for (1) proposed conduit location on Nathan Ellis Highway to accommodate a solar <br /> array. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Certification of Statement of Lien in the Amount of$114,557.15 Pursuant to MGL c 139 §3A for <br /> 95 Echo Road Mashpee, MA (Book 27972 Page 35) Owner Assessed: Manuel Cabral: Health Agent Glen <br /> Harrington: <br /> Correspondence was received from Glen E. Harrington Health Agent dated August 26, 2020 regarding 95 Echo <br /> Road, Mashpee. The Statement of Lien in the amount of$114,557.15 has been forwarded to the Town <br /> Manager's Office for execution by the Board of Selectmen in order to attach a cost for the removal of 709 tons <br /> of construction and demolition waste (the "nuisance") to 95 Echo Road, Mashpee.
