Mr. Harrington informed the Board that a surveyor stamp is not required on the plan because <br /> there is more than 5' to the property line. It was also noted that the upgrade to the system is <br /> voluntary. <br /> There being no further comments or discussion,Veronica Warden moved to grant a 4'variance <br /> from the sideline at 135 Main Street,with the stipulation that the Board of Health be provided <br /> with proof of abutter notification via Certified Mail. Review of request for outdoor entertainment — Chad Yates, Esq. for Mashpee Commons <br /> Business Owners. Mr.Harrington confirmed that Attorney Yates was participating remotely,and <br /> commented that Caitlin Gardipe had prepared comments on this matter. Those comments had <br /> not been provided to Attorney Yates. <br /> Veronica Warden asked if any food was proposed at the event,and Attorney Yates answered that <br /> no food,drinks, or alcoholic beverages were being served. It would be live music only. <br /> Attorney Chad Yates introduced himself for the record. He stated that he had worked with some <br /> other businesses within the Commons to create a safe and health-conscious event that respects <br /> the current state guidelines while encouraging patrons to visit the Commons. Circles that were <br /> distanced 6' apart were being utilized on the grass. Insurance guidelines were also being closely <br /> followed,and a$2M policy was being provided. <br /> Ms. Gardipe acknowledged the safety plan from the band, but inquired with Attorney Yates if a <br /> plan had been submitted for the event organizers or the venue operator. Attorney Yates <br /> emphasized that they would make every effort to comply with requests for any additional action <br /> or documentation. <br /> Ms. Gardipe advised Attorney Yates that everything discussed that evening was advisory in <br /> nature. The Board of Selectmen have to give permission for this event. She further stated that <br /> an event of this kind would only be permitted under very specific circumstances,and outlined all <br /> of the requirements with respect to the gathering order and the outdoor event safety standards. <br /> In response to questions for Board members and Health Agents, Attorney Yates stated that the <br /> event would not have more than 100 participants. No tickets or reservations would be required. <br /> It is intended to be a free,grass-roots,very organic event that would take place from 6:30-9:30. <br /> There would be a gate in place, masks must be worn entering and exiting, temperatures will be <br /> taken, and hand sanitizer will be provided. Seating circles will be limited to six people, and they <br /> would be utilizing 15-20 volunteers. <br /> Ms.Gardipe stated that,with respect to yoga classes and other activities that may be going on at <br /> the Commons, it is important to clarify that the Board of Health is not providing any permission <br /> 3 <br />
