Town of Mashpee <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> �A"s7aau3�^� Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH - PUBLIC SESSION <br /> Mashpee Town Hall —Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of August 20, 2020 <br /> Board Members Present: Member Absent: Also Present: <br /> Brian Baumgaertel,Chair Glen Harrington, Health Agent <br /> Veronica Warden,Clerk Caitlin Gardipe,Assistant Health Agent <br /> Chair Brian Baumgaertel called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM,and stated for the record that all Board <br /> members were participating remotely. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. COVID-19 update. Mr. Harrington commented that the following actions are completed or <br /> ongoing: <br /> • Communicated daily COVID-19 case numbers to the Town Manager's office and our public <br /> safety answering point <br /> • Participated in weekly conference calls with the DPH and the Health Agents'Coalition <br /> • Watched weekly press conferences from Governor Baker <br /> • Maintained the Mashpee COVID-19 webpage <br /> • Stayed up to date on the latest orders, standards, and guidance for school re-opening, <br /> recreational camps, transportation, lodging operators, long-term care facilities, restaurants, <br /> amateur sports, and gatherings <br /> • Answered questions about the Travel Order and Travel Form that went into effect 8/1, and <br /> advised individuals with exemptions to the order <br /> • Answered questions about quarantine requirements for employees leaving on vacation, <br /> family members of someone that is waiting for test results, recreational camps, and time <br /> shares <br /> • Advised members of the public on where to get tested for COVID-19, as well as how to get <br /> employees tested <br /> • Referred a complaint from a local restaurant to the Department of Public Health regarding <br /> COVID-19 safety standards <br /> • Helped with re-opening questions for a local dance studio <br /> • Investigated reports of indoor live entertainment, and advised businesses on how to host <br /> performers safely <br /> • Continued to advise restaurants on safety standards, including how to safely use condiment <br /> bottles <br /> • Advised pool operators on the pool safety standards,including the safe use of pool toys <br /> • Met with staff at Camp Farley to discuss operations for 2021 <br /> • Assisted Mashpee Commons with their Drive-in Movie Nights and Sidewalk Saturdays <br /> 1 <br />
